Associate Professor Ma. Theresa T. Payongayong obtained her PhD in Philippine Studies from UP Diliman. She also obtained her Masters and Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the same.
She began her teaching career in UP as Assistant Professor at the Division of Philosophy of the College of Arts and Sciences of UP Los Baños in 1992. Then she moved to the Department of Philosophy of UP Diliman’s CSSP in 2003 where she remains up to the present.
She was a member of SDT from 2004 to 2011. She was College Secretary of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) from 2011-2014. Afterwards, she was appointed CSSP’s Associate Dean for Academic Affairs from 2014-2017.
Despite being busy as faculty administrator, she continues to write publications and conduct research/extension work on topics such as feminist philosophy, philosophy for children, and ethics.

Asst. Professor Tessa Maria Guazon has degrees in design and art history from the University of the Philippines. She had lived for various periods in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand for research fellowships. She was awarded the Asian Public Intellectuals Fellowship by The Nippon Foundation for research on culture and urbanization in cities in Thailand and Indonesia. She studied the Thai language in 2008 and 2009 in Mahidol University Salaya under a SEASREP (Southeast Asia Regional Exchange Program) Language Training Grant. In 2007 she was at the Asia Research Institute National University of Singapore for the ASEAN Graduate Students Fellowship. The Singapore International Foundation facilitated her attachment as researcher at the National Arts Gallery Singapore between 2011 and 2012 through their Art Associates Program. She attended the CIMAM International Conference in Istanbul in 2013 by way of an international travel grant from CIMAM Barcelona.
Her research interests focus on contemporary public art practices in urban centers. She considers their economies of production, their orbits of circulation and reception, examining as well the possible ways contemporary art mediates the public sphere. Her international publications on the topic include a chapter for the anthology Transforming Asian Cities published by Routledge and an essay for the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research by Wiley Blackwell. She is Assistant Professor 7 at the Art Studies Department, College of Arts and Letters UP Diliman and placed 10th in the Licensure Examination for Interior Designers. Her graduate thesis was awarded Best MA. She has since written about her research interests for international and local journals and books, presented papers and shared ideas in conferences and workshops here and abroad. She curates exhibitions, writes about art and film and practices yoga avidly.

Dr. Eugene Rex L. Jalao is an Associate Professor of Analytics and Industrial Engineering in the University of the Philippines Diliman, Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. He specializes in Decision Support Systems, Business Analytics Solutions, Data Mining, Optimization and Systems Simulation. He obtained his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU) in May 2013. Additionally, he obtained his Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering degree as well as his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2009 and 2007 respectively. He was inducted into the Alpha Phi Mu, Industrial Engineering Honor Society in 2012. His ten years of work and research experience are in the fields of business analytics both here in the Philippines and in the United States of America, specifically in the Banking, FMCG, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Healthcare, Telecommunications and Information Technology industries. Also, he is the current director of the Business Analytics Certification Program of UP National Engineering Center. Furthermore, he was part of 50-person APEC team that drafted the Recommended Data Science and Analytics Competencies last May 2017 in Singapore. He is also a certified SAP ERP Materials Management consultant, a Matlab computing associate and an advocate of the R Programming language.
